I'm reading your blog, so does that mean I'm not a loser?? When is Bobs surgery? About the heparin, I know that we have many pts in the ICU waiting for surgery, they are waiting because they take blood thinners and have to wait so many days after stopping. This is because people on blood thinners, like heparin, bleed alot and do not clot easily. That is a no-no for surgery, they could bleed to death. So the cardiologist is right, Bob has to stop heparin before surgery. Maybe the other dr. meant for him to start after surgery?

No, one doctor wanted him to start the heparin BEFORE surgery. They're all a bunch of idiots. I know all about heparin. That's what he was on when he got the brain bleed. Bah.
