Bob

He had a heart catheterization today; discovered no need for the stent, or stunt, or whatever it's called - I like "stunt". Fits. Next step is the thing called a TEE which I forget wth that is, but that will discover whether he needs a new valve replacement. In other words, the exact same surgery he had in 2004. He was discussing whether to get new pig valves, or mechanical valves, which he says make noises! He thinks it might be annoying but I think at least we would be able to tell if something's gone amok, wouldn't we? just by listening.

So far, so good.

The Trip

We actually gotitdone. I was dreading the travel part so much but I have had to overcome a lot of my irrational fears in the last 6 years (driving, etc) and thus I have learned to Do It Anyway. That's what I call it.

so we took a long weekend and flew to see the Boob and Kim and the Mini-Boob. We drove and flew, and all went well with a few glitches nothing serious. We had to get a cart for Bob in between connections at one point because of limited time, and because the up ramp we had to climb getting off the plane put him into pre-heart attack mode; I got to ride too being the Companion and all, so it was fun. On the trip home one flight got delayed which caused us to miss the connecting, but US Airways sent me a voice mail saying they had protected us on the next flight. That's what they called it, "protecting". I like it. Bob had to stop my leg from jiggling on that flight but otherwise I remained calm. I am not afraid of flying; I'm afraid of crashing.

The Mini-Boob has started walking and is in the staggering, tipping mode. It's hilarious. He is a very easy going mellow child (like his father). He looks like Kim but also like Boob, with his father's chin - and! I discovered that he has MY nose so I got a word in edgewise, there. Hope to see him again before he's in high school. It's working out to almost exactly once a year. sigh.

Latest News

Well, we actually got a copy of an actual marriage CERTIFICATE from the courthouse. Bless that lady's heart, that married us, she actually FILED it. And so we are married. I was sure we would have to do it again (have the grandchildren in the wedding party etc) Because although we had the license, we had no proof that we ever used it - because of the way we are.

So that scare's over thanks be to God.
