Hold On

I've put a hold on the picture frenzy because the other parts of my disorganization keep coming up:
I got the car! Yes, the new-old car is now officially mine because the certification from the probate court handily came the day Of The Blizzard, which I took off work, although I did trudge Up Town in the old-old car to do the title crap. I would have had to take off work anyway to do it, so it's all good. And we are slow at work right now, everyone is working 3 days a week now, but me.

Anyway, the new-old car is in better shape than the old-old car although it has some issues which I will fix immediately. I refer to the new-old car now as "the little Girl-Car" - Bob's even calling it that, heh, most likely because he got himself stuck inside it and couldn't get out - but he has problems of that nature anyway. I guess it's a little girl-car as compared to the big honking old-old car which is big and mean and evil, and probably male, (not that there's anything wrong with that). I still have to fix that too though. what a bunch of fun!

My veg seeds have come in the mail and now I have to think when to start them. I'm thinking April 1st since we can't plant outside until mid to end May. Oh, I am only starting the tomatoes, of course.

I think of this as a roller coaster ride straight into hell.

Hostage

I am a hostage of pictures of things I no longer own. I am uploading to the gallery, thus far only into August of 2006, and I have to STAY THERE or it will stop, or randomly close ALL the windows, sigh, and then I have to think where I left off and this is not an easy thing, at my age and state of mind. (but it's still better than when I thought you could only upload one pic at a time!- but that was because I'm DUMB, I think)

P.S. I think I'm hitting the wrong button when that happens. It could be me. Shocking, I know.

I had more pics on drive C: than I had thought. My God, someone should have taken that camera away from me!

I am still wearing pearls.

ok, so there's a few flowers at the end. I'm a weak and sinful person.
Flowers - useless but necessary.
I ordered the Rose Campion from Bluestone (3), it turns out they are biennials so I will have to order more next year, to have them constantly blooming. (this is more than likely the reason I could not find them in my bed the next year). They are not very expensive, which makes me think it's another Lamb's Ear experience - I got obsessed with them one year, even going so far as to plant seeds, only to find out they are invasive, have ugly flowers , and you really only need one! or none, even.

But forget the flowers, we are going to have us some salads, I think. Of course I am only planting about 3 seeds out of each pack. (If you want any let me know) The Roma tomatoes are to make my mother's spaghetti sauce with, and I suppose I will have to can it (sigh), I swore I would never do this stuff again! this time I will teach my kids, whether they want it or not.

I am ordering up a raised bed with the gift certificate from Boob & Kim for my birthday last year. (Thank you!)

and as for the flowers, this is the year of Pull and Dig and Plant. I'm tired already. (note: find the implements)

Can you survive on salads and pasta?

Pearls

Bob gave me some for Christmas (no, they are not the real expensive ones, but nevertheless...). The problem is that I cannot install them around my neck myself; I have to find someone to do it for me, and then I must wear them until another person is found to un-install. Thus I found myself this morning wearing pajama pants and a scraggy t-shirt that I had worn to bed and a hairdo unknown to this world, unbathed and unbrushed, but wearing pearls!

I caught a glimpse in the mirror and I had to laugh. But I actually like this, what better time to wear them? My outfit needed that certain SOMETHING anyway and now it has it.

Now I am showered and re-dressed in jeans and a clean t-shirt but still with pearls.

I like it.

Salvage

David took my computer and fixed what he could; unfortunately this did not include my D: drive which was unfixable. thus, about 4 years of pictures are gone. I am now busy uploading ALL of the remaining pictures to the gallery (you should have that link) and then I will ALSO copy them to DVD's (he fixed the dvd burner thing) - because you must never, ever, ever, trust these important things to your pc. It cannot be trusted. I already knew this but somehow forgot.

Let this be a warning to you.

and let there be Spring.

Rose Campion

...that's the name of the flower! I'm putting it in here in case I forget it again.

Vegetables

I am having a vegetable garden this year; ordering up seeds now. and herbs which seems to excite me.

PREPARING

Hunting

...for that dadgum plant that I can never remember the name of. Vicky sent it to once; some kind of mallow I think. Tiny pink flowers on long stalks, leaves feel like lambs ear. Woe is me - I killed it.

It's Me

...back again.
Everything is settling down - a little, but I'm always waiting for the next shoe to drop.

We had Bob's birthday/super bowl festivities Sunday and chaos ran rampant. Liz brought her new puppy, a "boxador" - part lab, part boxer, part who-knows. Mercy just wants to paw her, and she's a tiny little thing.

I am trying to buy Grandma's car and the paperwork is a hellish thing.

I have too much to do at work, and too much to do at home! What if I quit? what will happen... what could go wrong?

And then there's this weather. It's Winter, imagine my surprise. I am going to quit whining about it, it just upsets me.

If I ever find any of my pictures I will put some in here.
